In order to gain knowledge about the dangers of using and storing chemicals, you are therefore required by law to complete a course before starting the work.

The content of the course

 

Episodes

This video-based course covers the requirements for training set out in Regulations on Work Performance § 3-4.

The course is divided into 13 episodes, has a total duration of 72 minutes with video, and the training will, among other things, provide knowledge about:

  • Basics of chemicals
  • Relevant laws and regulations
  • Classification and marking
  • Substance catalog
  • Safety data sheet
  • Health risk
  • Mapping and risk assessment
  • First aid
  • Protective measures and use of personal protective equipment
  • Storage and storage
  • Waste management
  • Preparedness

After completing the course, you must take a final test to be issued a course certificate. The course certificate lasts forever.

What are your chemicals?

Chemicals is a general term for elements, chemical compounds or mixtures of such. Chemicals exist both in a natural state, and they can be produced industrially.

Chemicals can have different properties that can cause health damage, environmental damage or fire and explosion hazards if used incorrectly or stored.

Why take a chemistry course?

Dangerous chemicals can cause both acute and chronic health damage, such as burns and cancer.

It is the amount of chemicals we are exposed to, how we are exposed over time and the combination of substances that determine whether chemicals are harmful. Certain chemicals can be harmful even in very small amounts.

Who is the chemistry course for?

This digital course is aimed at anyone who handles chemicals in the workplace. Handling of chemicals is any handling of hazardous substances, such as production, transport, loading and unloading, storage, use and handling of hazardous waste.
